How do I prepare for my tattoo session?1. Don’t get a sun tan on the placement you've chosen for your future tattoo! 2. Start drinking enough water for your organism - about 2 liters of water a day. This is necessary for the skin to be elastic and moisturized. If you normally drink this amount of water, then you don't need to change anything. 3. Start applying some lotion or cream to the place of the tattoo 2 times a day to moisturize your skin. 4. Don't drink alcohol and don't take any meds (if possible) before the appointment. 5. If you have a back tattoo, prepare your skin by exfoliating before the appointment. 6. Do not put any numbing creams without notifying the tattoo artist. Always contact the shop or tattoo artist beforehand to discuss whether you can or cannot use the numbing cream. 7. Wear comfortable clothes. 8. On the day of the appointment be rested. Have a good night sleep, go to bed early so that you feel refreshed. 9. Be full - eat a big hearty breakfast or lunch and take some sweet snacks with you. 10. Be positive 🙂

Can I use self-tanner before the appointment?Using self-tanner before a tattoo is not recommended as it can create an uneven surface, potentially affect the ink's appearance (as a result of altering the skin natural color), hinder the healing process, and increase the risk of infection. It's best to consult with your tattoo artist for specific guidance.
-
Can I sun bathe before the appointment?Sunbathing before getting a tattoo is discouraged for several reasons: 1. Skin Condition: Sun exposure can damage and irritate your skin, making it less suitable for tattooing. Sunburn, peeling, or overly tanned skin can negatively impact the tattoo's quality and healing process. 2. Uneven Coloring: Sunburn or excessive tanning can lead to uneven skin tones, which may affect the tattoo's appearance. The artist relies on a consistent canvas for their work. 3. Healing Complications: Sun-exposed skin can be more sensitive and prone to complications during the tattoo healing process, such as increased pain, prolonged healing, or scarring. To ensure the best outcome, it's advisable to avoid sunbathing in the area where you plan to get a tattoo for a few weeks before your appointment. This allows your skin to heal and provide an optimal canvas for the tattoo artist. Always consult with your tattoo artist for specific recommendations and follow their advice for the best results.
-
If I have bruised/damaged/irritated skin on the placement I've chosen for the tattoo, can I still come to the appointment? You shouldn't get a tattoo if the chosen placement has bruised, damaged, or irritated skin because it can negatively impact the tattoo's quality, healing process, and increase the risk of complications. You can consider another placement that has clear skin or you can re-schedule appointment for a later date to ensure the chosen placement doesn't have any irritation or damage. Always consult with your tattoo artist for specific recommendations and follow their advice for the best results.
